Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Ready to get stuck in and make a real impact? As a Gymnastics Apprentice Coach, you'll be:
- In the gym helping deliver fun, active gymnastics sessions at our purpose-built facility
- Out in schools supporting PE lessons and bringing gymnastics to life for younger children
- Leading the fun at after-school clubs with exciting, energetic sessions
- Keeping kids active during school holidays by running games and activities at our holiday camps
Alongside coaching, you’ll:
- Plan your own sessions using our structured templates
- Level up your skills while working towards your apprenticeship.
- Train with professionals through British Gymnastics courses
Most importantly, you’ll help create a safe, positive environment where children can grow in confidence, have fun, and love being active.

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:

Junior Sport Stars has been providing children's sports coaching and development in Greater Manchester for over 18 years. Based in Stockport, we provide a wide range of sporting activities and coaching programs for young people, aiming to help children develop physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport. What we do: * Gymnastics programs for children of different ages and abilities. * Before-school breakfast clubs and lunchtime activity sessions in Primary Schools * Physical Education (PE) support and coaching in Primary schools. * After-school sports clubs in Primary Schools * Holiday camps during school breaks at a number of venues. After this apprenticeship

Progression within the company: On completion of your Level 2 apprenticeship, there is an option for undertaking a Level 4 qualification and be full-time working a min. x30 hours per week with more flexibility. On completion of all British Gymnastics qualifications at Level 2 in your desired specialism, you may then teach Gymnastics to the wider community in primary schools as well as at our gymnastics school.
