Summary

We are looking for a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our growing team and develop practical marketing skills. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in modern digital marketing, with a particular focus on website content, SEO, email marketing and AI-assisted content creation.

Wage

£22,286 a year

Minimum wage rates (opens in new tab)

Bonus paid annually in April based on company profitability and completing 6 month probation. Salary is reviewed in April annually.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Working closely with our sales and marketing teams, you will help improve our online presence, generate leads and create engaging content that supports business growth.

Your focus will be on the following 3 areas:

E mail marketing

  • Customer post purchase  - generating new flows, optimising existing flows, and reporting on revenue activity monthly
  • Marketing E mails 2 x week based on promotions, ranges, targeting segments. Using Adobe to design on the existing templates, and managing and reporting on performance monthly to Manager and Director
  • Developing an e mail marketing calendar, and supporting blog content
  • Re ignition campaigns for lapsed customers

SEO AI website Content

  • Following an in-depth analaysis into our website performance that we commissioned we are at the beginning of an exciting project to improve the organic exposure performance of our website, particularly front of mind incorporating AI best practice and techniques ( full training given )
  • Developing content, based on a roadmap we have developed with an SEO agency. Researching competitor content, and keyword analysis. Understanding and reporting on metrics to measure success
  • Image creation using ai Adobe software

Sales Office Support

  • Gaining feedback for e mail marketing and SEO content
  • Supporting additional requirements such as Data Sheet Creation and website product uploads
  • Testing new software modules with the team as required

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Coordinate and maintain key marketing channels (both digital and offline)
  • Plan and deliver tactical campaigns against SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) objectives
  • Manage the production and distribution of marketing materials, e.g. digital, print and video content as appropriate
  • Produce a wide range of creative and effective communications, including ability to write and proofread clear and innovative copy, project briefs, and give confident presentations
  • Able to engage and collaborate with a wide range of clients/stakeholders, across departments internally and with clients/suppliers externally to support marketing outcomes as required
  • Use good project and time management to deliver projects/tasks/events as appropriate, effectively. Including the ability to divide time effectively between reporting, planning and delivery
  • Coordinate several marketing campaigns/projects/events to agreed deadlines
  • Effectively liaise with, and manage, internal and external stakeholders including suppliers to deliver required outcomes
  • Monitor project budgets within their scope of work using appropriate systems and controls
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by choosing the appropriate digital and offline data sources
  • Assimilate and analyse data and information from a range of sources to support marketing activities
  • Evaluate data and research findings to derive insights to support improvements to future campaigns
  • Effectively use appropriate business systems and software to deliver marketing outcomes efficiently, for example to analyse data, produce reports and deliver copy
  • Use appropriate technologies to deliver marketing outcomes e.g. digital/web analytics, social media, CRM

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade C/4 or above)
  • Maths (grade C/4 or above)

Desirable qualifications

BTEC in:

Marketing (or 2 years experience) (grade Pass)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
