Summary
A varied gymnastic based coaching role. No experience in gymnastics is required. The work will involve coaching general gymnastics, trampolining, strength and conditioning, SEND groups, holiday camps, parties and pay and play activities. A varied role interacting with all age groups.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As a Community Activator Coach, you will:
- Work with a range of experienced coaches and help deliver engaging gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling, parkour, SEND, holiday camps, parties and pre-school sessions
- Plan and deliver sessions, once confident and with guidance
- Undertake British Gymnastics courses to become a qualified coach. Courses will be paid for by Sky High
- Apprentice duties will also include the day-to-day running of the centre such as reception duties, assembly and disassembly of equipment set-ups, assisting with the running of parties and parent and toddler sessions, general day-to-day tidying and cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is always presentable
You will also be working alongside your daily roles and responsibilities to gain your Community Activator Coach Level 2 qualification over the duration of around 15-months.

- Work collaboratively with services and other community organisations to run events that make the best use resources.
- Record and store data and information, in line with legislation and organisational policies and procedures.
- Use suitable digital technology to deliver targeted messages to participant groups.
- Adapt communication methods to meet the needs of participants and groups.
- Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns within own scope of role and in line with organisational protocols.
- Support equity, diversity and inclusion in line with legislation and organisational policies.
- Support the mental health and wellbeing of self and participants.
- Comply with health and safety legislation, regulations, risk assessment procedures, guidelines and procedures.
- Participate in personal and professional development.

Some elements of the role are physically active

After this apprenticeship
Successful apprentices may progress to a full-time role within Sky High TGA following completion of the programme. Both of our previous apprentices are still working and thriving within our establishment.
