Summary
Destec Engineering Limited is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to join their engineering team, specialising in the design and manufacture of clamp connectors, subsea pipe connectors, seal rings and boiler inspection caps. You will be trained across engineering, with a focus on manufacturing and maintenance of equipment.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Inspection and testing and drawings understanding.
- Working with the team to ensure Non-destructive testing is completed per requirements and timelines.
- Basic appreciation and understanding of LPV, MPF, LPF.
- Basic understanding of NDT equipment and procedures, including calibration and consumable requirements.
- Operating a variety of machines (CNC or Conventional); for assembling and repairing machine and press tools.

Training schedule
- The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 2 Engineering operations (Manufacturing and Maintenance pathway).
- The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.
- This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln college 1 day a week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
