Summary

This is a hands-on Plumbing and Heating Apprenticeship working directly with the owner on commercial plumbing, heating and HVAC projects across London and thesurrounding areas. 

Wage

£18,720 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices

All travel expenses paid throughout apprenticeship.

20 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (8 days)

Construction sites typically close over Christmas and annual leave must be reserved for this shutdown period (10 days)

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Day-to-day tasks will vary depending on the project, but
will include;

  • Assisting with installations.
  • Learning how systems are put together, using tools and equipment safely.
  • Helping to keep sites organised and running smoothly.

I run the business myself, so this role offers the opportunity to learn the
trade in real working environments and to gain experience across all aspects of the job.

Honesty, hard work and good punctuality are a must. I’m looking
for someone who is willing to learn, ask questions, take pride in their work and turn up every day with the right attitude. In return, I will share the knowledge and experience I have gained in the industry and help develop them into a skilled tradesperson.

  • Install, test, and commission, electrical and electrical control systems applicable to plumbing and domestic heating systems.
  • Perform routine service, maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification procedures and techniques on the non-electrical components of plumbing and domestic heating systems.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade Grade 3 or equivalent)
