Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing incoming repair requests (reactive and planned) via email, telephone, and software systems.
  • Preparing contractor work orders, obtaining quotations, and issuing instructions.
  • Supporting Property Managers with planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Using FixFlo software to process and monitor maintenance issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conducting regular site inspections with Property Managers.
  • Liaising professionally with property owners, clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Maintaining a high standard of written and verbal communication.

After this apprenticeship

On completion, you will gain a recognised industry qualification and have the opportunity to progress into a Property Manager role. You’ll also be eligible to register as an Associate Member of ARLA (MARLA), The Property Institute (ATPI), or achieve CIH Certified Practitioner status (CertCIH).
