Summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join us as an Apprentice Site Engineer. This role allows the opportunity to earn a salary while working on live projects, gaining hands-on experience with experienced professionals, and studying towards a fully funded degree. Apprenticeship locations are: E15 2TJ & SE24 0QH

£15,392 to £24,454.04, depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Support the Site Manager and the Site Team with managing site activities and productivity
  • Help ensure everyone on site follows safe working practices
  • Assist with maintaining site records and managing quality inspections
  • Work with the team to keep projects running smoothly and sustainably
  • Develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Attend university and complete academic assignments alongside work commitments
  • Any other duties as required

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
  • Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
  • Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
  • Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
  • Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
  • Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
  • Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.

Training schedule

  • How to manage day-to-day activities on a construction site safely and efficiently
  • How to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • How to work with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • How to minimise environmental impacts and support sustainable construction
  • Health, safety, and welfare practices in line with industry regulations
  • Project planning, leadership, quality management, and commercial awareness
  • How to identify and resolve common site challenges and innovate for improvements
