Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Level 3 Crop technician / General Farm worker.
The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tractor and equipment in line with service and maintenance schedules.
Tasks include:
- Topping, muck spreading, mucking out cattle sheds (using teleporter)
- Bale carting
- Harvest work
- Livestock support, Less husbandry, more machine operations.
- Spraying, (once qualified)
The role includes working on your own at times.
Operating farm vehicles on the road (min age 18).
Long Hours.

Training schedule
- The course is a block release, based out of easton campus of City College Norwich, aprox one week in five spent at the college
- The remaining 80% of your time spent on the farm working and gaining experience

GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
