Join Online Fulfilment Centre as a Warehousing Apprentice and gain hands-on experience within a busy fulfilment and logistics business. You will support the warehouse team with receiving goods in, picking and packing orders, stock control and dispatch activities while completing a Warehousing Apprenticeship.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against delivery documentation
- Accurately picking customer orders ready for dispatch
- Packing orders safely and securely to meet company standards
- Preparing parcels and shipments for collection by courier services
- Assisting with stock control, stock checks and inventory management
- Maintaining accurate warehouse records and updating systems as required
- Loading, unloading and moving stock safely within the warehouse
- Ensuring products are stored correctly and warehouse locations are maintained
- Supporting the efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times
- Following company procedures and health and safety regulations
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time
- Supporting the wider team with general warehouse duties as required
- Completing all aspects of the Warehousing Apprenticeship including off-the-job training and coursework
- Working towards developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required within the apprenticeship standard
- Attending training sessions, reviews and meetings with your apprenticeship trainer and employer as required

- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Training schedule
- Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Standard Level 2
- A bespoke programme of technical and vocational training
- Functional skills in maths and English *if applicable
The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated work-based trainer who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This apprenticeship is delivered wholly in the workplace; the successful candidate will not need to attend any weekly sessions at the Grimsby Institute unless maths or English is required as part of the apprenticeship

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 3/D or above)
- Maths (grade 3/D or above)
