Summary

At DoorTechnik Ltd, we are looking for a hard-working apprentice to join our team manufacturing bespoke steel doorsets. You will gain hands-on engineering experience operating CNC machinery, assembling and testing products, while developing transferable skills and working closely with different departments throughout your apprenticeship.

Wage

£16,224 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Use of hand and power tools
  • CNC turret punch operation
  • CNC press brake operation
  • Assembly and testing of mechanical and electrical products
  • Blast cleaning and powder coating
  • Welding and fabrication
  • CNC milling
  • Doorset installation and repair

  • The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Engineering Operative Level 2
  • The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course
  • This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours

GCSE in:

English and Maths (grade A*/9 – C/4)
