Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Handling customer enquiries over the telephone or face to face in the agency and administering all customer instructions to completion and compliance standards
  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products
  • Reviewing and advising customers on their general insurance requirements
  • Providing quotations and selling policies to customers
  • Enabling cross-selling opportunities to new and existing customers
  • Processing and dispatching renewal documentation
  • Producing correspondence to required timeframes and quality standards
  • Introducing and promoting NFU Mutual’s range of Financial Services and Risk Management products
  • Carrying out all general office and policy administration

Person Specification:

My client is looking for a self-driven, motivated individual, who can work on their own initiative and as part of a small, friendly, team environment. You will have good communication skills, being in person, over the telephone and in written format. You should have a willingness to learn and to strive for 100% accuracy. Sales or Servicing experience would be an asset.

Computer Literacy is essential to include Word and Excel usage.

This role will be working towards a Business Administrator level 3 qualification supported by starting off.
