Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Supporting teachers with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Assisting pupils with learning, reading, writing, and classroom tasks
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and social development
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where needed
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and educational resources
- Supporting children during activities, playtime, and school events
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Following safeguarding and school policies at all times
- Eager to learn, develop new skills, and contribute positively to the school team
