Summary

Are you a passionate, highly motivated and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant, who will work under the guidance of the class teacher to provide high-quality, creative learning opportunities with a view to developing the whole child. The successful apprentice will be supporting colleagues providing a safe, happy environment.

Wage

£13,520 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

What you'll do at work

We are looking to appoint a passionate, highly motivated and dedicated Apprentice Teaching Assistant, who will work under the guidance of the class teacher to provide high-quality, creative learning opportunities with a view to developing the whole child. The successful apprentice will be supporting to provide a safe, happy and aspirational learning environment is expected to interact with colleagues on a professional level in order to promote a mutual understanding of the schools vision and values.

  • Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
  • Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
  • Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
  • Provide feedback to learners.

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT if required
  • ERR - Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • PLTS - Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Alongside the Apprenticeship qualification for the Teaching Assistant, you will gain valuable work experience within the setting to enable knowledge, skills, and behaviours to develop.

Requirements

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

The successful canddate will be required to pass a DBS check and also be able to provide 2 work references.
