Summary
Wellow Horse Livery Centre run a very busy livery yard, covering all types of livery from DIY to full livery. They are looking for an Equine Apprentice Groom to come and join our team who is used to being around horses, children and dogs!

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Grooming the horses before and after exercising them
- Mucking out the stables
- Providing fresh water
- Preparing feed and hay nets
- General stable duties
- Changing rugs
As they are a livery yard it is important to be able to talk to their clients and help them with their horses, able to keep good public relations, and you must be able to work together as part of a team.
Work uniform will be provided, however own footwear and riding equipment, including body protector will need to be your own.

- You will be working towards the Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
- All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours
- Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach
Requirements
Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
