Summary

You will be working towards your Teaching Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship by assisting in a range of duties relevant to your studies and dedicated time will be set aside time to complete your learning.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Your duties will include:

  • Providing classroom support to our teaching staff in the reception classes
  • Following plans and instructions from the teacher

Working with children in class, small groups and 1:1

  • Assisting with the supervision of pupils outside the classroom, including accompanying teaching staff on educational trips and visits
  • Interacting with children in an educational manner

  • Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
  • Provide feedback to learners.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)
