Summary

Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry. You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply.

Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship.

If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:

  • have an EHC plan
  • are in care or have been in care
  • are in prison or have been in prison

We are looking for a responsible Retail Support Technician to perform a variety of technical and installation tasks. To assist in all technical aspects of our business, while working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship.

Wage

£14,560 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This list is provided as an indicative guide to expected duties only:

  • Deal face to face with customers in our retail store
  • Diagnose, repair, install and maintain computer and other IT related equipment and services
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments
  • Assist in the preparation of regular scheduled reports
  • Follow office policies and procedures
  • Maintain records held in companies’ electronic systems
  • Provide general support to visitors
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
  • Any other reasonable duties required by company management

Other requirements

This role will require us to conduct an enhanced DBS check in some circumstances. This is because of the types of clients we support and the information they store in our facilities.

The company’s owner brings his dogs to the office most days; therefore, any candidate will need to ensure this will not interfere with any allergies.

After this apprenticeship

  • It is anticipated that the successful candidate will progress onto a Level 3 (or equivalent) accredited training course with Canny Clever Group Limited once the Level 2 apprenticeship is completed
