Summary
Littelfuse Chippenham are looking for an Apprentice Electronics Maintenance Engineer to work on a multiskilled team and study to build knowledge and develop skills. Experience and further development in the workplace also contributes towards becoming a Electronics Maintenance Engineer with knowledge of modern and analogue electronic systems.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Attend college to complete classroom-based development with practical elements and undertake training assessments and progress reviews with a college assessor. A Company appointed Mentor will also work with you to agree apprenticeship targets in the workplace and monitor role performance whilst providing support and encouragement throughout the employment.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the equipment on site and learn about the operations and engineering behind the processes completed throughout the factory to compliment this knowledge.
- Perform Maintenance duties and work on projects based on your competency level, including working with Analogue electronic systems, refurbishment of old equipment and implementing new controllers, PLC systems and relevant upgrades.
- Ensure full and accurate documentation of the work carried out relating to projects and breakdowns.
- Comply fully with company policies, rules and procedures as well as current legislation, regulations and standards relating to health, safety, the environment and quality.
- Keep all necessary documentation relating to your apprenticeship training and role, ensuring all is kept up to date and deadlines are met as necessary.
