Summary

Work as part of the North American team servicing business as required by the Division. The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Technical Team and Broking Divisions ensuring the client needs are met.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Day-to-day client servicing from initial submission of risks to hand over to the technical team for invoicing.  Including:

  • Create and maintain electronic files.
  • Draft Open Market Reform Contracts, including endorsements and any adjustments, ensuring conditions and terms of cover in response to the client’s needs.
  • Produce client documentation as required by departmental procedures, complying with internal service standards and FCA, ensuring Contract Certainty.
  • Diary subjectivities/premium payment warranties and conditions, and liaise with the client and broker to ensure they are complied with.
  • Prepare statistical analysis, including loss runs where necessary.
  • Accurately complete checklists ready for processing in Cheltenham.
  • File all documents in a timely manner so they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Liaising with Cheltenham to ensure prompt and accurate issuance of invoices.
  • Build strong working relationships with Amwins/Amwins Global Risks International offices and independent producers, underwriters, and Cheltenham, attending internal and external meetings as required.
  • Check client/insurer/and third-party accounts are approved and set up in the broking system, preparing approval forms where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with external and internal guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Review internal reports and liaise with Cheltenham teams to ensure all client cashes and aged debts are cleared.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities which may become necessary for the proper performance of the role.

  • Gather and interpret relevant information to provide a return on insurance decisions.
  • Match client’s needs with available insurance products and services.
  • Optimises the potential return on insurance decisions within the scope of own role by identifying and positioning the client’s case with the insurer.

Training schedule

Training will be on-the-job and in the workplace. This will be delivered by Davies Solutions.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4 or above)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
