Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Providing IT support to office and site staff, including setting up laptops, mobile devices, printers, and troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365 systems including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, helping staff with file storage, access, and everyday use
- Assisting with user account setup, password resets, and device security in line with company procedures
- Maintaining IT equipment records and asset registers, ensuring hardware is correctly logged and updated
- Liaising with external IT support providers when required and escalating more complex technical issues
- Learning and applying best practice in data protection, cyber security, and safe working with IT systems

- Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Training schedule
The apprentice will learn at Shrewsbury College London Road campus for one day per week day-release, with the remaining days of the week on site at Shingler Homes in Myddle
