We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team, providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Follow the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share these with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, playtime, and rest periods
- Support children’s emotional well-being by providing comfort and encouragement as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery
- Respect the confidentiality of all information received
- Drive initiatives that promote a positive nursery culture and enhance children's learning experiences

- Advocate for children through their child centred approach, listening to the voice of the child; ensuring children’s rights, views and wishes are heard, respected and acted upon at all times. Offer appropriate support and influence decisions in the best interests of the child.
- Develop, model and implement strategies to support the emotional, social, psychological, physical and cultural needs of all children within the educational setting.
- Support and promote children’s diverse speech, language and communication development and determining and adapting appropriate responses and interventions to support verbal, nonverbal interactions and engagement with written communication.
- Support children to engage in a range of learning contexts such as individual, small groups and larger groups as appropriate for their play and support confidence within social experiences.
- Engage in effective strategies to develop and extend children's learning and thinking, including sustained shared thinking.
- Promote, model and support children and families to develop a healthy approach to making choices relating to personal care including eating, sleeping and physical activity.

- Ensure plans fully reflect the individual development needs and circumstances of children and actively participate in the provision of consistent care, responding quickly to the needs of the individual child.

Training schedule
- Training will take place at work and the delivery will be remote and recorded sessions
- The duration of the standard will be 20 months, this does not include the end point assessment
- Monthly training with weekly support where needed
