Summary

Our client, a well-established, growing international business supplying confectionary (Sweets!) across England as well as abroad are looking for a marketing apprentice.You will have the opportunity to gain valuable marketing skills and experience as you complete a Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Wage

£16,000 a year

Annual pay is offered between £16,000 and £18,000 depending on interview. Immediate start available.

Work

What you'll do at work

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated individual to begin their career in marketing in their office in Chichester.  

They are a well-established, growing international business supplying confectionary (Sweets!) across England as well as abroad. Because of their national and international reach the apprentice will be able to attend major trade shows, as well as the possibility for international travel to where their sweets are made.  

They distribute to major supermarkets and shops and oversee very well-known sweet brands that any person with a sweet tooth would know! 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team and gain experience across commercial marketing, with the opportunity to enhance your marketing skills in a vibrant and growing industry.  

N.B Due to their location having access to your own transport in preferred.  

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities will focus on supporting the execution of marketing strategy and may include: 

Assisting in the creation of marketing content across multiple channels  
Supporting social media content creation and community engagement  
Contributing to marketing campaigns and promotional activity  
Assisting with email marketing campaigns and database management  
Supporting website content creation and development  
Assisting with event planning, coordination, and execution  
Conducting market research and competitor analysis  
Supporting marketing administration tasks  
Monitoring performance and assisting with data analysis and reporting 

What We’re Looking For

Essential Criteria: 

Full, valid driving licence (due to office location)  
Proactive and able to work independently  
Enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player  
Professional attitude and appearance  
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)  

Experience & Education: 

GCSEs or equivalent (preferred)

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.
