Summary

VQ Solutions are searching for three highly motivated individuals to join Philips as Marketing apprentices whilst completing their Multi-Channel Marketing apprenticeship. If you are curious, creative and passionate about maximising the opportunity to kick start a career in marketing, then this is the position for you.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This role offers you the chance to work in their vibrant and exciting offices in Farnborough, Hampshire, within a hybrid working environment. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Help implement standard marketing procedures for repetitive tasks, such as updating marketing collateral and organising digital assets, ensuring consistency and adherence to company policies while working under direct supervision
  • Help to document all marketing processes, tasks and activities meticulously, maintaining detailed records for quality control, compliance and future reference, and ensuring that documentation is up to date and accessible
  • Adhere to established marketing procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency, accuracy and quality in all assigned tasks, regularly reviewing your own work to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies
  • Aid in the coordination and execution of marketing projects and campaigns by providing logistical and administrative support, including scheduling meetings, organising materials and tracking project progress
  • Assist in responding to internal and external requests for information by gathering relevant data, preparing documents and providing timely and accurate responses to stakeholders
  • Follow prescribed procedures and work instructions closely to complete routine marketing tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

Training schedule

  • You will work towards an Advanced Level 3 Multi-channel Marketing apprenticeship, delivered by VQ Solutions
  • You will have a dedicated VQ Mentor and will also be supported internally by your manager
  • During this apprenticeship, you will develop a portfolio, attend workshop sessions and have regular reviews
  • The best part? All apprenticeship work will be completed during working hours

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths and English (grade Minimum C/4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
