Summary

Ash & Lacy are seeking an Apprentice to work alongside their toolmakers. In this role, you will learn how to service, make, build, troubleshoot and repair precision machine tools, jigs and fixtures to introduce new products and keep existing products in production. 

Wage

£16,224 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Daily/Weekly Tasks:

  • Machining, servicing, building and modifying a variety of precision tools jigs and fixtures
  • Carrying out planned maintenance department improvements including 5s activities (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain)
  • Communicating and reporting to senior toolmakers and department managers to support the departments function including purchasing and receipting materials, BO Parts and ongoing consumables

The apprentice will attend the training centre In-Comm Aldridge WS9 8UG for the first 7 months

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

English, Maths and Science (grade 9-4 minimum)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
