Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Tank Laminator. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a skilled trade within GRP manufacturing, supporting the production of water tanks and housings. You will work alongside experienced laminators to develop practical skills and technical knowledge.

Wage

£15,808 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the manufacture of GRP water tanks and components using lamination techniques
  • Prepare moulds by cleaning, waxing, and setting up ready for production
  • Learn to apply resins, matting, and gel coats correctly and safely
  • Follow production drawings, specifications, and instructions accurately
  • Support the team in meeting production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area at all times
  • Carry out basic quality checks under supervision
  • Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely

GCSE in:

  • English Language (grade 4)
  • Mathematics (grade 4)
