Summary

We are looking to recruit a Level 2/Level 3 Equine Groom to join our team and assist with the day to day care of our clients horses. We offer full/part livery with very high standards of care. The role covers all general yard duties, assisting vets, farriers etc as well as learning how to care for horses with additional needs.   

Wage

£13,312 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Feeding
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Rugging
  • Bandaging
  • Mucking out
  • Grooming
  • Grassland management
  • General yard maintenance
  • Assisting vets, farriers 
  • Lunging and long reining

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 3)
  • Maths (grade 3)
