Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Start your day by checking the day’s furniture components and set up your workspace
- You will be hands‑on: sanding pieces, prepping surfaces, and learning how different timbers react
- You will move into staining, applying finishes evenly and fixing imperfections. Later you’ll help with spray‑lacquering, quality checks, and moving completed parts to the next stage
- Throughout the day you’re working alongside experienced finishers who show you new techniques, build confidence, and support you
