Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Start your day by checking the day’s furniture components and set up your workspace
  • You will be hands‑on: sanding pieces, prepping surfaces, and learning how different timbers react
  • You will move into staining, applying finishes evenly and fixing imperfections. Later you’ll help with spray‑lacquering, quality checks, and moving completed parts to the next stage
  • Throughout the day you’re working alongside experienced finishers who show you new techniques, build confidence, and support you

  • End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship

GCSE in:

A Min of 5 GCSE's inc English & Maths (grade 4-9 (C-A*))
