You will play a key role in planning, creating, and managing digital content across multiple platforms, showcasing our workshop activities, performance projects, and services. You will also support the development of our e-commerce website and explore emerging technologies such as AI-driven content creation.

£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Plan, create, and schedule engaging content across multiple social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos from workshop activities, including repairs, upgrades, and performance builds
  • Edit and produce short-form and long-form video content
  • Write compelling captions and posts aligned with brand voice
  • Monitor engagement and suggest improvements to content strategy
  • Assist with the ongoing development of the company’s e-commerce website
  • Upload and manage product listings, including descriptions, images, and pricing
  • Edit and optimise website content for SEO
  • Work within the website “back shop” (admin system) to maintain and improve functionality
  • Work with AI tools and prompts to support content generation, marketing ideas, and workflow efficiency
  • Explore new digital tools and technologies to enhance marketing performance
  • Support the creation and scheduling of email campaigns
  • Assist with building customer mailing lists
  • Write blog posts related to automotive topics, performance tuning, and workshop insights
  • Help produce technical videos for the website and social media channels
  • Collaborate with technicians to translate technical work into engaging content

What you'll learn

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
  • Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.

Training schedule

  • You will work towards a Level 3 Multi-Channel Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Leeds City College. This will require attendance 1 day per month at Print Works Campus, and attendance 1 day per month for remote learning
  • You will receive on-the-job training alongside experienced professionals

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)
