Composite Engineering Apprentice Role Overview:

As a Composite Engineering Apprentice at Multimatic CFT, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic team, focusing on carbon composite laminating, trimming and assembly work. From shaping components to building assemblies and ensuring quality control, you'll play a vital role in bringing our innovative projects to life. It's a chance to learn from the best, grow your skills, and make your mark in an industry that's constantly evolving. You will be using hand tools and power tools and following detailed instructions and work with precision, ensuring that every task gets completed to the highest standard. You will also gain exposure to pre-preg laminating, tool manufacture, and advanced machinery operations and Engineering principals.

What you will be doing:

  • Composite Material Handling: Safely handle composite materials and tools, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
    Trimming & Assembly: Shaping, trimming, drilling, and assembling composite components according to detailed instructions, contributing to the production process.
  • Bonding & Adhesion: Preparing and bonding composite components using adhesives, and following established procedures and specifications with care and precision.
  • Quality Control: Reviewing build manuals and addressing quality issues as they arise, maintaining accurate records and upholding our commitment to excellence.
  • Template Fabrication: Assisting in the fabrication of templates and jigs to streamline assembly processes, supporting efficiency and innovation.
  • Health & Safety: Prioritising your safety and the safety of your team, following all health and safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.

GCSE in:
