Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Manufacturing curtain rail and blind systems to customer requirements, as detailed on works action notes
  • Completed work to be checked, packed and despatched as required
  • This involves picking components and recording stock allocation
  • The safe use of metal cutting and drilling equipment for curtain rails with the addition of fabric cutting equipment for blind systems
  • Final packing involves the use of battery operated jigsaws and stapling tools

Maths (grade 9-4)

Driving licence desirable as there is progression available to cover site installation and surveying once you have completed the apprenticeship.
