Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Railway Engineering design role
- CAD – 3D modelling
- CAD - Technical drawing
- Digital – Automation, programming
- Office-based role using computers for design work, calculations, planning and presenting
- Opportunities to visit site, be involved in design reviews etc.
- Working alongside an experienced Technician
- Potential progression to L6 Apprenticeship
