Summary

An opportunity to join Fusion Care Group as a Residential Support Worker Apprentice in Oldham. You will provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting while completing your Level 4 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification.

Wage

£16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people
  • Build positive, professional relationships with children and colleagues
  • Support children with daily routines, education and structured activities
  • Promote independence and life skills development
  • Manage challenging behaviour using positive behaviour support techniques
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
  • Maintain accurate care records, logs and incident reports
  • Contribute to care planning and review meetings
  • Work as part of a team to create a safe, stable and nurturing environment
