Summary

Start your career through a Manufacturing Process Leader apprenticeship. Based at our York Head Office, you’ll help manufacture and prepare Portakabin buildings, following H&S and standard procedures to meet quality standards, while supporting efficient production flow and helping achieve operational targets.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Work as part of the manufacturing team to achieve the daily, weekly, monthly and annual KPIs
  • Support the Cell Leader by working as part of the team to manage workflow and maintain operational outputs and ensure that targets are met
  • Assist with technical issues, writing and managing Risk Assessments, SOP’s and actively support H&S
  • To identify and contribute towards continuous improvement activities and initiatives
  • Identify and monitor training needs for yourself and any gaps in the team
  • Ensure preventative maintenance tasks are completed to schedule and quality is maintained e.eg ISO 9001 & 14001 are adhered to
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines. Company policies and procedures relating to H&S
  • Work towards being an acting Cell Leader or a stand-in when a holiday or absence occurs

Training schedule

Your apprenticeship will be delivered through a blended learning approach, supported by our learning provider, NC Group. Our apprenticeship has been designed to support you at every stage of your development, and throughout the programme you will be stretched, challenged and fully supported by a business that is committed to your professional growth.

Throughout the duration of your apprenticeship, you will be appointed a workplace mentor to support you with your learning.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • 3 x Non Specific (grade 4 - 9 (C - A*))
  • English (grade 4-9 (C-A*))
  • Maths (grade 4-9 (C-A*))
