Summary
Joloda Hydraroll are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated apprentice to join our manufacturing team.
This role will provide hands-on experience working within a busy engineering environment where you will support the manufacture and assembly of our world-leading loading and unloading systems.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assisting with the welding of small to medium sized components used in loading system assemblies
- Linishing and grinding welded components to remove excess material and create smooth finishes
- Supporting the assembly and fitting of components into larger welded assemblies
- Operating and assisting with robotic welding and linishing equipment under supervision
- Learning to operate CNC machinery used in the production process
- Following engineering drawings and technical specifications when assembling parts
- Supporting the engineering team with basic maintenance and workshop tasks
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Working closely with experienced engineers to develop practical mechanical engineering skills

Day release, once per week to Waterside Training, WA9 1TW.
Remainder of the week on site at Joloda Hydroll, L24 8RN.

Apprentice must be able to travel to Waterside and Joloda.

GCSE in:

Joloda Hydraroll has a long history of apprenticeships. We always aim to offer a full-time position at the end of an apprenticeship in the specialist area. Beyond this, we will continue to invest in further education for those who show desire and promise in this area. We have 3 former apprentices now studying HND’s to increase their knowledge.
Professionally, we are proud that several former apprentices have progressed through their skilled area, into being team leaders and eventually to a foreman. We are passionate about developing our own talent and will aim to push them forward at every opportunity.
