Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
An average day at the start of the apprenticeships would be to shadow one of our long-term experienced welders/fabricators and technical managers. Watching and listening to their guidance.
- We always like to get our apprentices to be hands-on whenever possible, so trial welding/fabricating would be offered under guidance
- Helping out wherever needed in collecting items from stores to be used
The ability to read drawings and compile drawings. All our tanks are manufactured from drawings produced by our Technical Team, also involved would be liaison with other departments in the company, ie Sales, Accounts, Production and Installation, all of whom are key to the business, so if they are confident, they will be an asset when dealing with other departments.
There will be some administrative work.
The long-term position is for someone to work alongside our technical manager, so the possibilities are endless.
