Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
You will embark on an exciting learning journey, gaining experience in:
- The heavy maintenance overhaul of rolling stock
- Electrical and mechanical light maintenance activities
- Collaborating closely with the Team Leader to execute a variety of tasks, gaining valuable skills under expert supervision.
- Upholding the highest safety standards by strictly following Vehicle Maintenance Instructions and local procedures, ensuring a secure work environment
- Diligently using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations to maintain a culture of safety and professionalism

- Due to the requirements of the role you will attend college in a block release period therefore there will be a requirement to spend time away from home in Crewe whilst at college
- This will be 3 weeks 3 times a year (9 weeks in total)
