Cornwall Education Learning Trust are offering an exciting opportunity to gain the Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship for an individual to join their team. The successful candidate will be learning to develop and create written and audio visual content that can be used across a variety of platforms and media.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Develop professional skills in content creation, digital tools, audience analysis and campaign delivery as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Assist in producing multimedia content such as short videos, graphics, photography and basic design assets in line with CELT branding
- Create compelling, high-quality digital and print content to support CELT communications, including social media posts, website updates, newsletters, promotional materials and internal briefings
- Work with colleagues across schools and central teams to gather information, stories and case studies that showcase our teaching, leadership and professional development
- Translate strategic priorities, educational programmes and research-informed practice into clear, accessible and audience-appropriate content
- Support the planning and delivery of content campaigns linked to recruitment, events, conferences and professional learning initiatives
- Maintain and update website content, ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency
- Use analytics and engagement data to evaluate content performance and inform future improvements
- Ensure all content aligns with CELT values, brand guidelines and safeguarding expectations. Contribute to content planning schedules and support the development of a coherent trust-wide communications approach

What you'll learn

- Interpret the aims of the brief.
- Research ideas and concepts to meet the brief.
- Evaluate brand requirements and brand guidelines.
- Prepare a mood board or other visual aid for the content to be created.
- Present ideas, pitches and proposals for creative content to be further developed.
- Storyboard and outline script their ideas for content to be developed.
- Interpret data, consider its integrity and use it to inform content.
- Develop accessible written content for different platforms and devices.
- Apply best practice and inclusive language when creating content.
- Write and edit copy or scripts for use on different channels and platforms.
- Create or capture visuals and audio using standard packages and equipment.
- Source, obtain and prepare media assets for use; using industry standard packages to adapt and edit content.
- Use industry standard tools and content management systems to organise, structure and label content effectively, methodically and securely enabling efficient search and retrieval.
- Identify and recommend the platform/s or channel/s to use for the media campaign.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers, establishing and using professional contacts.
- Engage and respond with audiences through social media, adapting content to respond to evolving circumstances.
- Monitor user experience to ensure content is focused on maximising engagement.
- Analyse the differences between audiences using audience segmentation techniques and data.
- Use lessons learned to evaluate the success of the content and identify areas for improvement for future campaigns.
- Use continuing professional development planning to support own current and future training and development needs.
- Operate effectively within the production workflow to meet production timelines.

Training schedule
- You will be required to attend Cornwall College Camborne once a week
- You will be working towards a Level 3 Content Creator Apprenticeship Standard qualification
- This apprenticeship consists of a mixture of off the job training and on the job mentoring and development within the workplace
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
- Due to the nature of this role, occasional evening and out-of-hours work will be required to support events and key trust activities.
- Ideally you will be able to drive and have access to a car.
- Excellent ICT skills; sound working knowledge and experience of using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Creativity and an interest in producing high‑quality content.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Awareness of digital trends and content‑creation tools.
