Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Apprentice to join our team at Mizuno Corporation UK Limited.

The role will include, supporting the Finance team with the day-to-day operations and applying your learning to real life scenarios, whilst completing a Level 3 AAT Apprenticeship.

Wage

£16,000 a year

The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed. 

After 12 months, this will increase to meet the National Minimum Wage.

The Accounts Apprentice will support the finance team with tasks such as:

  • Invoice posting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Journal posting
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad hoc duties as set by line manager

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Assist with the investigation and response to financial information queries.
  • Record and analyse financial data using the organisation’s standard tools and processes.
  • Apply double entry bookkeeping and accounting standards to process financial documents, generate financial statements and report financial information to users of accounts.
  • Assist with production of accurate financial information for the preparation of accounts.
  • Reconcile financial data, such as, preparation of reconciliations or review of reconciliations.
  • Investigate, resolve or escalate transactional queries and errors within their remit as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial information in a way that non-finance stakeholders can interpret and understand.
  • Utilise digital skills to present key financial information using finance and accounting software and applications.
  • Use software packages to assist with basic accounting tasks in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
  • Communicate using varying approaches and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.

Training schedule

This blended learning programme combines live interactive learning sessions, with virtual learning resources and additional support from AAT coaches and trainers. 

Key details:

  • Delivery style: On-Line
  • Independent Learning (per week): 4.5- 6 hours
  • Type of Learning: Online group session with AAT Trainer
  • Duration: 1.5- 2 hours, weekly 

More training information

AAT Exams- After each learning module the learner will sit an AAT exam at an AAT Centre. 

To pass an exam, learners need to achieve a minimum of 70%. In the event that a student fails an assessment, additional support will be provided and a date for a resit will be agreed. 

The programme duration is 12-14 months.

To be able to undertake this, you will be required to registered as a student member of AAT. This will be reimbursed by Mizuno after successful completion of your probation period. 

Although the start date of the role is April, the training programme will not commence until June.

GCSE in:

  • Maths (grade 4-9)
