Summary

A fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Operative to work for ANC Manufacturing LTD, a thriving business with over 20 production processes and prospects. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to complement our existing production team.

Wage

£14,722.50 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Monday to Friday, between 9.00am - 5.30pm. 1-hour lunch break at 1 pm, plus occasional overtime and extra duties.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Our brands include Timeline, Crowns and Regalia, Studio Anne Carlton, Heraldic Express, Inspired Treasures and The Quill Store.

Duties to include:

  • Water-based Jesmonite resin casting
  • Pewter casting
  • Frame making
  • Printing
  • Light packing of goods
  • Checking off and storing goods
  • General tidying
  • Assisting with other production processes

GCSE in:

ANC Manufacturing Ltd is part of the Ancestors® Group, formed in 1992, primarily as a firm of genealogists. The company is now located in a 11,000 sq. ft. factory in Folkestone, Kent, where it now concentrates on the manufacture of products for the heritage and promotional marketplaces.

We manufacture products for our sister company TimeLine Gifts Ltd, who supply products for names such as Harrods, Hamley’s, English Heritage, Historic Royal Palaces, Historic Scotland, Cadw, and many other famous clients, both large and small. We have been casting in English lead-free pewter since 1999 and in Eco-sustainable water-based polymer stone resin; products include miniature crowns, key rings, figurines, chess sets, rings, pendants, pencil toppers, jewellery, and many other quality products.

The company has a policy of continually investing in new designs and projects using many different pieces of equipment, including Manual and Semi-Automatic pewter casting machines, Pressure vessels for resin casting, Laser engravers, Ink jet printers, Digital printers, UV printers, 3d printers, Suma cutters, automatic creasing and cutting machines, doming machines, pad printers, mug presses, and includes enameling, soldering, crystal stoning and laminating processes and many more.
