Summary

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Your job duties will include:
- Machining- lathe, milling, horizontal borer use
- Bench work - learn valves to know what you are machining
- Work closely with the other valve technicians
- Be responsible for your own workscope and quality of work
- A flexible and reliable approach is more important than relevant experience
- Overhaul, test and calibrate of all types of valves
- Workshop duties
- On-site work will be critical to support the work we offer, may require occasional overnight stays as necessary

About this employer
KVS’s extensive services are delivered for a UK-wide client base operating in multiple industrial sectors, including Energy from Waste, Power, Chemical, Steel, Refineries, Water, Food & Beverage.
We work on-site and at our fully equipped workshop in Gloucester, where we complete major overhauls, modifications and calibrations. The 5,000 sq ft service centre includes testing, machining, and spraying facilities.
