Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Handling print jobs to the finished production stage. Working off job sheets to fulfil duties. Operating machines to produce jobs and get them to where they need to be ready for the customer.
It will be using the printer consistently to set up print jobs.
Using the guillotine to cut and trim down print jobs.
Using the scorer and booklet maker to get the job to its final stage of production and making sure the job is accurate and high quality, minimising errors along the way.

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Training schedule
Training will be provided on how to use all the machines safely and how to use the machines when they fault and jam.
Learning how to fix the machine when problems occur.
Training will be on the job.
