Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Supervising pupil's behaviour and demeanour in accordance with staff guidance.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organsiation in the teaching enviornment and assisting with pupil care.
- Aiding teachers with administrative tasks and supporting pupil's development through various activities.
- Applying knowledge of Special Eductaional Neds (SEN) as per the SEN code of practice.
- Ensuring a safe enviornment for pupil's and staff and promoting Every Child Matters.
- Contributing to the schools Self Evalutation process whil adhering to policies and regulations.
- Setting high expectations for pupils and respecting their backgrounds for educational success.
- Implementing behaviour management strategies for a conducive learningn environment.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues, seeking help and self-improvement.
- Building and sustaining positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Maths (grade 4)
