Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

This role sits within our L&D Operations team, which ensures our courses are scheduled and run smoothly, while also supporting colleagues with their L&D needs. As part of the apprenticeship, you’ll also partner with our Learning Technology and Partnering teams, gaining experience across learning technology, design, and facilitation.

Although the role is primarily remote, you’ll need to travel to our London office a few times a month to support workshops and join key team meetings as part of y our role, so being comfortable with travel is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in supporting the scheduling and coordination of our learning curriculum, acting as a first point of contact for queries into the L&D function.
  • Provide high-quality, consistent support to the wider L&D team and business, including administration of the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Maintain and update the central training calendar, ensuring all sessions and conferences are logged accurately, and coordinating all associated logistics (venues, meeting rooms, catering, materials, etc.) in a timely way.
  • Provide in-session support for some of our Core Baringa course deliveries. This responsibility is shared across the Ops team and will involve occasional presence in our London office (around twice per month for events and at least once per quarter for team meetings).
  • Take ownership of day-to-day operational tasks, flagging challenges early and helping to identify practical solutions that keep things moving at pace.

So, what's in it for you? Well, it’s up to you. Baringa is what you make it:

  • We’re proud to put people first with wellbeing at the forefront of our culture, one example of this is that every employee receives £300 a year to put towards their wellbeing! In 2022 this was recognised in our #1 ranking in the UK’s Great Place To Work 'Best Workplaces for Wellbeing'.
  • All employees participate in the Baringa Group Profit Share Scheme, which seeks to ensure that everyone has a stake in the success of the company.
  • We recognise everyone needs a well-deserved break - As such we have introduced the ‘Re-charge’ benefit meaning Baringa will offer all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service.
  • Promotion is based on your own performance, and we give you every opportunity to progress to level 2 with Baringa after completing your apprenticeship.
  • Lastly, we recognise the importance of work-life balance, and we know that the ‘ideal’ balance will vary from person to person and will change at different stages of our working lives. If you require flexible working, please talk to one of our Recruiters about the flexibility you may need.
