Summary
As a Site Supervisor Apprentice, you will play a vital role in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will be at the heart of the action and support on various subcontractor and operator activities, working across several workstreams within the business.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Champion safe working practices and help maintain high standards of health, welfare, and environmental protection on site
- Collaborate with the supply chain and surveyors to support commercial goals and build strong, lasting partnerships
- Foster positive relationships with clients, design teams, and suppliers by promoting best practice throughout the construction process
- Learn and apply technical practices and project sequences to develop your skills
- Contribute to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Work closely with subcontractors to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Build your understanding of programme and works management
- Gain experience using innovative construction software and technology to enhance project delivery

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
- Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
Training schedule
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
- At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
