Summary

As a Surveyor Technician apprentice you’ll play an important role in supporting site and project surveyors with tasks that contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour
  • Preparing tender and contract documents
  • Helping ensure projects meet legal, safety, and quality standards
  • Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments supplier/subcontractor payments
  • Attending team meetings and contributing ideas
  • Preparing and submitting regular budget reports

GCSE in:

English & Maths (grade 4/C and above)
