Summary

Working with Asset Investment colleagues, the apprenticeship will provide you with a structured learning path to gain practical experience across various building surveying functions while learning essential skills in organisation, communication, and project coordination.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Bulk mailing
  • Updating spreadsheets
  • Data entry
  • Shadow on site visits, surveys and appropriate meetings for the purpose of defects diagnosis, repair, alteration, improvement and collection of stock condition data.
  • Draft a project brief
  • Produce a specification or design
  • Obtain quotes
  • Liaise with customers

Training schedule

You will complete a variety of induction training to settle you in and then begin your Level 3 Surveying Technician Apprenticeship. If there is a need for you to complete English and/or maths at Level 2 Functional Skills, this will form part of your apprenticeship programme.

Training will be scheduled in line with working pattern.
