Summary
This role will involve working with established technicians on both Live and Dead trains to establish failure modes through extensive fault finding as well as rectification work on Trains to develop the skills required to become a stand alone Technician.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- This role is a dual skilled role and so will involve both Mechanical and Electrical fault finding and Rectification
- Attending all planned college requirements
- Completing all required College work on time and to standard
- Working in line with Alstoms Zero Deviation Policy
- Developing Electrical and Mechanical fault finding skills
- Developing electrical and Mechanical rectification skills
- Following all established Alstom depot processes/Procedures ie.e Tool Control, 5S, Line of Route
- There may be opportunities to be trained as a Depot Train Driver

- Your qualification will be completed at Siemens Mobility - training will be carried out within the workplace
- Mandatory and role specific training will take place at the depot
- You will complete the Rail Engineering Advanced Technician – Level 4 Apprenticeship standard which will include a knowledge and a competency qualification
