£24,000 a year

Salary £24k k with annual bonus of £6k, 3 months probation with the plan for basic to go to 30k after 12 months.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Implement the Vena product for our customers, being responsible for configuring the data model, Excel templates and Power BI Dashboards, integrating data from customer systems and setting up automated data workflows.
  • Actively participate in on-site or virtual workshops and training with customers to elicit business and technical requirements.
  • Support customers utilising your communication skills to adopt the product and maximise value from their Vena investment.
  • Work closely with Project Managers day-to-day to deliver projects on time and on budget, proactively communicating issues as needed
  • Be a self-starter when learning our product, demonstrate a get-your-hands-dirty approach and ask lots of questions.

  • Experience in applying problem solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Data Integration and data modelling experience, or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience or knowledge of database management and understanding.

What you'll learn

  • implement the stages of the data analysis lifecycle
  • apply principles of data classification within data analysis activity
  • analyse data sets taking account of different data structures and database designs
  • assess the impact on user experience and domain context on data analysis activity
  • identify and escalate quality risks in data analysis with suggested mitigation or resolutions as appropriate
  • undertake customer requirements analysis and implement findings in data analytics planning and outputs
  • identify data sources and the risks and challenges to combination within data analysis activity
  • apply organizational architecture requirements to data analysis activities
  • apply statistical methodologies to data analysis tasks
  • apply predictive analytics in the collation and use of data
  • collaborate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders using appropriate styles and behaviours to suit the audience
  • use a range of analytical techniques such as data mining, time series forecasting and modelling techniques to identify and predict trends and patterns in data

Training schedule

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Data Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship standard.
You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT.
Apprenticeship team to increase your skills.
Your training will include gaining a Level 4 Data qualification.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4/C and above)
  • Math (grade 4/C and above)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

  • Has experience working in a full-time role previously
  • Has a degree
  • Has a degree in either Finance, Computer Science or Engineering (open to seeing other degrees)
  • Can communicate effectively in English
