We are seeking a bright, motivated and committed individual who has completed a Level 3 craft apprenticeship in Plumbing or Heating & Ventilation and is ready to take the next step into engineering.
You must already hold a level 3 plumbing or heating qualification and have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.

- Apply engineering principles, using relevant scientific, theoretical and technical know-how to solve well-defined building services engineering problems.
- Apply building services engineering techniques, procedures and methods, and review the results, when measuring and testing, designing, installing, commissioning, maintaining or operating building services engineering systems.
- Employ a range of advanced mathematical, statistical and data interpretation tools, using analytical and computational methods to interpret and solve well-defined building services engineering problems.
- Interpret and compare performance information to choose compliant materials, components or parts.
- Select and use technical literature and other sources of information and data to address well-defined building services engineering problems.
- Produce and interpret building services engineering technical drawings, designs, and models, using analytical and computer-based software packages, recognising the limitations of the software used.
- Produce building services engineering technical solutions in accordance with relevant industry standards, procedures, codes of practice, regulations, and legislation.

Training schedule
- Section 106 requires that you MUST live in Kingston on Thames.
- Work will be intially in Kingston then across London, sometimes across the UK.
- You will complete college via an online classroom on day release for 2 years.

After this apprenticeship
As a Trainee Mechanical Project Engineer, you will learn how to support the engineering and management of mechanical building services installations throughout the full lifecycle of construction projects.
With support from experienced professionals, you will develop skills in areas including:
- Planning and managing project workloads under the guidance of the Project Leadership team
- Supporting the preparation of project programmes in line with the main construction programme
- Monitoring progress to help ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Assisting with material and procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery to site
- Learning how estimates and tender packages are prepared and evaluated
- Supporting subcontractor meetings, reviews and appointments alongside project and commercial teams
- Reviewing drawings, designs and specifications for technical and contractual compliance
- Developing a strong understanding of health, safety and environmental practices
- Interpreting technical information, standards and regulations relevant to mechanical building services
Location
Price Building Services operates on a project-led basis. While a designated office base will be agreed, this role may require travel and occasional work away from home on project sites across the UK.

You will gain practical experience on some of the UK’s most exciting construction and infrastructure projects, alongside paid day release for the full duration of the two-year Level 4 college course.
You will initially gain experience across the wider MEP disciplines before focusing on mechanical engineering, aligned to your existing qualifications and experience. This role is supported by paid day release to complete a Level 4 qualification in Building Services Engineering over a two-year period.
Building Services Engineers play a key role in ensuring technical excellence and the safe, efficient delivery of projects through design, procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. Digital Engineering, off-site manufacturing and sustainable technologies are central to how we deliver our projects, and you will be actively involved in supporting these approaches.
