Summary

Working under the direction of the warehouse co-ordinator, you will work towards a Level 2 supply chain qualification whilst completing all tasks promptly and accurately to assist in the smooth running of the warehouse.

What you'll do at work

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic and hard-working individual to join our growing team as an Apprentice Warehouse Assistant.

The role is based at our warehouse in Castle Donington, Derby. You’ll be joining a small team responsible for:

  • Picking technical production equipment for live events
  • Using hand-held scanners and ensuring everything gets safely loaded onto vehicles to travel to and from the site
  • Work in receiving/despatching of goods 

You will need to be physically fit, organised, have a great eye for detail, with a flexible approach to work and have a real passion for the industry.

This can be a fast-moving environment so you will need to be able to work to strict deadlines under pressure.

  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
  • Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
  • Carry out and record learning and development activities.

Training schedule

  • In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 2 Supply Chain qualification which will help start your career and give you an insight into the businesses processes and procedures
  • Our training is all completed remotely via Teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7 and will arrange weekly/fortnightly meetings with you
  • You receive 20% off-the-job training during this apprenticeship which is included in your weekly working hours

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

Maths & English (grade C/4 or above)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
