Summary
The Hall School are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking candidate to join their experienced class teachers and assistants. You will work as a team to create and support activities, developing children's academic and social abilities. You will be caring, patient and passionate, using your own initiative to guide children in structured play.

The above salary is for full time, this role is TERM TIME ONLY working 39 weeks per year. The actual salary is £11,801.02 per annum.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work

Duties of this role, including but not limited to:
- Working with a wide range of class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning
- Coaching children on a 1 to 1 or group basis
- Accompanying groups on trips
- Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
- Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
- Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
- Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
- Supporting children with SEND to access learning on a 1 to 1 or group basis

- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Training schedule
Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- A mixture of blended learning in the workplace and taught delivery at the Loughborough College (optional term time only)
- Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor
- Attendance to Loughborough College for Functional Skills (if required)
- On-the-job training
- Off-the-job training
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade 4/C or above)
- Maths (grade 4/C or above)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

- All apprentices will be able to apply for Learning Support Assistant roles as they are advertised towards the end of their apprenticeship
- There is no guaranteed role at the end of training, if there are no available positions at The Hall we will support the candidate in applying for a role elsewhere
